CBORD and ASSA ABLOY Announce Powerful Integration between ASSA ABLOY Offline Campus Locks and CS Access

June 2, 2011 — By integrating Access 700 PAC or Passport 1000 PG locks with CS Access, college and university administrative staff can manage security system assignments, schedules, alarms, and other key functions for online and offline locks within a single CBORD interface

The integration also gives users a number of new, unique capabilities not previously available with the locks. Enhanced functionality includes:

• Integrated card production: When a student receives a new or replacement card, credentials are encoded at that time, eliminating time-consuming additional steps.

• Student self-service: Students with lost cards can receive instant access to their residence hall rooms via the web or their mobile phones with CS Access’ online and mobile-originated capabilities.

• Housing access maps: Once a resident is assigned to a room, CS Access generates all access assignments required for both online and offline locks automatically, based on the room assignment.

• Intelligent video: By integrating video solutions, administrators can query access events for selected patrons and locations, making it easy to display specific event video with a single click, rather than searching through hours of recorded footage.

Please contact CBORD or ASSA ABLOY for more information on new functionality.

“The integration between CS Access and the Access 700 PAC and Passport 1000 PG locking solutions is a significant step beyond an interface between two access systems. Importantly, the overall safety effectiveness of the solution is enhanced, returning more for the investment. We are pleased to offer campuses using these locks cutting-edge security management features only available with CS Access.”

“ASSA ABLOY and CBORD have many common customers who have been seeking the combined industry leading technologies from our two organizations,” said Martin Huddart, Vice President of Electronic Access Control for ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions. “We are excited to integrate Corbin Russwin and SARGENT offline campus locks with the enhanced capabilities of CS Access from CBORD.
