The
PERSONA™ electronic locks were the first offline electronic locks
introduced specifically for educational facilities. They include a
magnetic stripe card reader that requires a properly encoded magnetic
stripe keycard, and a keypad to enter a
corresponding 4-digit PIN code.
The locks are all metal for durability, which means there are no
external plastic parts to be tampered with. The lock software is
versatile enough to accommodate the many configurations of residence
halls, faculty offices, and common areas.

It can accommodate up to one billion users and provides an audit
trail that records the last 700 events in the lock including successful and failed
access attempts, deadbolt thrown, door position, etc.

The lockcases themselves contain sensors that monitor movement within the lock
including entries by card and PIN or emergency key, deadbolt use and door position.
