Keycards

Magnetic stripe cards such as existing student and faculty ID cards can be used as keycards for the PERSONA™ locks. This keycard can be encoded to allow one individual access to a residence hall, individual room, the library, fitness center, and appropriate classrooms or labs during certain hours.

PERSONA™ added the PIN code feature to locks for a truly secure campus solution. Most student and faculty ID cards include a photo, which means that a lost or stolen card could be linked to a person’s residence hall room or faculty office, creating a security concern. With PERSONA™, however, a lost or stolen card will not be granted access without the corresponding PIN code.

Lost or stolen keycards can be replaced in seconds. Once a new card or an invalidation card is inserted into the lock, the old card is automatically invalidated.

Perfect for Conferences

The summer conference application is ideal for schools that offer campus facilities to outside groups during the summer months. The flexible software allows keycards to be encoded in advance for a summer sports camp or a business conference held at the school, and the cards will be validated only for the predetermined length of the conference. With PERSONA™, cards may be encoded so that guests of the school are granted access only to the areas designated for their group.  The keycards can also be customized with the name of the conference group or the university printed on them so that they can be kept as a souvenir.
